Let’s do this AK Athletes! It’s our final ramp up to Lavaman with our PEAK phase. These next two weeks will feature our hardest workouts yet. Our volume is highest these next two weeks before we taper for our race. Come prepared to work at every workout!

Warm up:
15 minutes EASY run/walk followed by dynamic warm up routine

Workout:

6-8 x 1k (1000 meters) at ~10k effort (slightly faster than threshold pace), followed by 2 minutes recovery walk/jog. If you have been following our track workouts consistently, do all 8 sets. If you have not been consistent or had a heavy weekend workload, do 6 sets.

Cool down:
5 min EASY run/walk followed by dynamic cool down routine
